Hello, My name is Diana Eileen Cruz. I am so excited to be back at Commonwealth Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year. This will be my 5th year with FBISD and my 22nd year working in Special Education. I am an Early Childhood Special Education teacher. Prior to coming to FBISD, I worked as a Life Skills teacher in grades PK-5th for 13 years at Wharton ISD and then, as a Behavior Specialist in grades Pk- 12th for 4 years for Wharton, Boling, and East Bernard ISD. I attended the University of Houston and received my bachelors degree in Psychology and I have a Master's Degree from University of Houston-Victoria in Special Education with a concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorders. I am currently working towards certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I live in Wharton, Texas with my husband and our 4 dogs. We have four daughters and 3 grandchildren. When I am not teaching, we love to go camping with our grandchildren and the dogs. 

I love working with children and helping them grow to their fullest potential.  I believe all children have the ability to learn in their own way, and we should focus on their abilities.
