Welcome to Commonwealth Elementary where we aim to inspire Character, Wisdom, and Excellence in our students each and every day. I am both excited and honored to be the principal of such an amazing school!

For the past 26 years, I have worked in the field of education as a classroom teacher, a district-level administrator, and a campus-based administrator. After relocating to Texas in 2007, I served as the principal of Highlands Elementary for 8 years prior to transitioning to Commonwealth in the fall of 2015.

While academic excellence continues to be our primary focus, the faculty and staff members at Commonwealth will place a heavy emphasis on fostering an atmosphere of love, trust, and learning for each one in the school's community.

As principal, one of my goals is to ensure that the instructional staff members remain committed to providing a rigorous, high-quality education for each of their students on a daily basis. In addition to helping the children reach higher levels of academic success, teachers will also provide their students with the necessary skills for life-long learning as well as the ability to maximize their overall, achievement potential.

As parents, your voice is very important. Strong positive relationships with families are extremely important to the success of our campus and to the students. Therefore, please feel free to always share your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions.

I am looking forward to continuing the CWE tradition of excellence for our students, staff, and surrounding community!
