I am the ESL teacher here at Commonwealth!  I absolutely love working with all of my amazing students who are mastering a 2nd, 3rd or 4th language.  I started off my teaching career in the fields of Math and Science.  I have an undergraduate degree in Biology and Life/Earth Science and a Master’s degree in Limnology.  Both degrees I earned from Stephen F. Austin State University.

I began teaching in Dallas, TX where I taught middle school science.  After teaching in Dallas for 3 years I moved to Colorado to fulfill my lifelong dream of living in the mountains. There I enjoyed climbing mountains and skiing. I also continued teaching middle school Science and Math and loved every minute of it.  Of course I couldn’t stay away from Texas forever and I moved back in 2007.  I began teaching here at CWE as a Long Term Sub, then the Resident Sub and finally as the ESL teacher.  I am thrilled to also have my son Peter attending CWE with me.  I truly enjoy the students, parents and staff at CWE and hope to be here for many years to come.
