My name is Ms. Nelson and I will be your child's Resource ane Inclusion Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Prior to becoming a special education teacher, I taught 5th Grade Math and Science at BJE for 4 years. I have a passion for promoting the success and achievement of all students. I am committed to creating a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating and encouraging to students. I am a proud product of FBISD, and I’m honored to be able to teach in the district that provided me with so many essential skills. I am a proud Texas Southern University graduate, GO TIGERS and I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Special Education. 

My goal as a special education teacher is to provide support to all students to promote their academic, social and emotional growth. I look forward to working with BJE students and parents to provide support to foster a positive educational experience. I am a strong believer that every student can learn if they are provided with the differentiated learning opportunities they require.
