Hello! My name is Ms. Karouni, and I am beyond excited to welcome you to a brand new school year! This will be my 2nd year teaching at Barbara Jordan Elementary as a 5th grade teacher, and I’m so thankful to be continuing this amazing journey as an educator. I graduated from the University of Houston in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Education, and becoming a teacher has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve ever made.

Teaching isn’t just my career—it’s a passion. I truly believe in the power of education to change lives, and my goal is to create a classroom where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to be their best self. I love building strong relationships with my students and helping them grow both academically and personally throughout the year.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, Jadyn. We love trying out new restaurants and traveling to live concerts all across the U.S.—music, food, and style are our favorite ways to explore new places, experiences, and express ourselves!
