Hello! My name is Mr. Maninantan, and this is my 3rd year as the music teacher here at Barbara Jordan Elementary. I graduated from the University of Houston with my Bachelor's in Music Education, and I am incredibly excited to share the joys and wonders of music making with the students.

I have an extensive choral background, and frequently sing and play in ensembles outside of teaching, such as Voices of Houston, Space City Sound, and Houston Bronze Ensemble.

Being heavily involved in music, I am also a member of several organizations: Texas Music Educator's Association (TMEA), Texas Choral Director's Association (TCDA), American Choral Director's Association (ACDA), Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), Organization of American Kodaly Educators (OAKE).

When not teaching, I am an avid video game player, as well as a wannabe chef.
