We are pleased to offer Speech and Debate Club for the 2025-2026 school year, in partnership with our FBISD high school student officers.
Students can expect to practice their speech and debate skills in an informal club atmosphere. Our club will not be entering tournaments at this time.
Students may sign up for the club by attending the interest meeting on Monday, August 25th, from 4:15 – 5:15 in the library. This year, our high school student coaches will be offering 4 events. The sign-up for each event will be made available at the interest meeting. It will also be posted here on this website at 5 PM on Monday, August 25th. Spaces are limited, so it is recommended that students attend the meeting in order to sign up. Members will be selected on a first come, first served basis. Students who are unable to sign up for their preferred event will be put on the club waiting list and contacted should a space become available.

M 8/25 Interest Meeting in the Library 4:15 - 5 PM
F 8/29 Students accepted (the first signed-up for each event) will receive a confirmation email. A list of current club members will also be posted in the Library Schoology Course.
M 9/8 First regular meeting for accepted students 4:15 - 5:15 in the library
Additional meeting dates for the first 9 weeks are: 9/22 and 10/6. All regular meetings are after school from 4:15 - 5:15 PM.
