I am Marla Rasco the School Counselor at Lexington Creek Elementary! This is my fourth year as part of the Lion Pride. This will be my 20th year as an educator, and my 18th year as part of the Fort Bend ISD family.

I grew up in Katy, attending Bear Creek Elementary, Mayde Creek Jr High and High School. I attended Prairie View A & M University and graduated with a degree in Finance. I started my professional career in Financial Services and Insurance, before deciding that I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children, as so many wonderful educators did for me! In 2004, I entered into an alternative certification program and obtained my teacher certificate. This was the best 2^nd best career decision I ever made! I have worked at the elementary level my entire career and I love working with young children!  

In 2016, I received my Master’ in School Counseling from Houston Baptist University, and I am currently in the process of obtaining my License for Professional Counseling in Mental Health with the State of Texas. Currently, I am the Counselor at Lexington Creek Elementary, the #1 best career decision I have ever made!

After practicing yoga since 2011, I became a certified yoga instructor in 2019! My hobbies include doing yoga and spending time with my family.  I love traveling with my husband and watching dramatic and romantic movies!  We have 2 boys, a cat named Licorice, and a dog named Cookie!  Life is Good!
