Greetings Cougar Cubs!

It is an honor to be working with your child this year!

This year will mark my 10th year teaching with most of my experience in 4th grade. I have taught Kinder, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and I was a special education teacher for a year as well. I am so thrilled to be continuing my teaching journey in 4th grade Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. My goal each year is to build self-efficacy in my students by helping them set and achieve goals that will prepare them for 5th grade and beyond!

I received my Bachelor’s degree from University of Houston (Go Coogs!), and I have also received my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University! I am extremely passionate about teaching the whole child including providing engaging learning experiences that meets the needs of each student, and I appreciate allowing my students to have meaningful conversations about their learning by collaborating with others, teaching them to assess their progress, set meaningful and attainable goals, and empower each student to learn beyond what they can imagine!

I have a wonderful husband, Jonathon, and two very adorable miniature dachshund siblings named Louie and Lola. We love to spend our time outdoors, playing golf, going on long walks, playing pool, and lots of other fun games. I absolutely love to cook and experience new recipes, read tons of books (of course!), and spend lots of time with our families and friends.
