My name is Juanita Darkis. I am in my 12th year of teaching. I taught Kindergarten for 6 years and 1 year in first grade when I came to Rosa Parks in the year of 2019.  I am a mother of two sons. I have a 17 year old and a 7 year old. They are my whys. I love traveling, shopping, coaching Special Olympics basketball, attending events and just enjoying life. Teaching is my passion. I decided to teach because I wanted to make a difference in a child’s life. Our children are our future global leaders. I am looking forward to a great year to prepare your child for the next grade level.

I am devoted to making a difference in all my students’ lives. I am dedicated to child advocate and meeting the needs of student’s academics success. I create lessons that focus on the student’s educational needs and including manipulative to enhance student learning.
