Welcome parents to my Art Lab!
My name is Shelby Mooneyham, and I am excited to be your child’s Art teacher here at Rosa Parks Elementary! I am a graduate of the University of Houston, with a major in Fine Arts and a minor in education. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of your children's creative experience and growth. I am truly looking forward to an art room filled with such creative minds! I am excited to not only meet and get to know your child but also you, the parents!

One of my major goals this year is to make sure your students have a positive experience within my classroom, regardless of their artistic ability. I am not interested in teaching artistic robots. What fun is that? Rather, I am interested in seeing how the students use their creative brains to problem-solve and express themselves. I can assure you; your child can look forward to creating art in a safe community that shows respect to one another and supports constant growth.

Schoology:
Please know that I do my best to keep Schoology updated as much as possible during the school year. This is so you, the parent and your child can keep up with the projects going on during class, in the event your child is absent, or simply wishes to show off what they've learned in the classroom! Contents will include the current lessons your child will be doing in class, a fun playlist of art related content for them to explore during school breaks, and lastly, any events that maybe come up during the school year (both school and non-school related). If you have any questions, please contact me.
