Hello, Chargers!  This is my second year at Almeta Crawford High School, and I will be teaching Chemistry and Biology. I earned my bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University and a master's degree from the University of Houston. After graduating, I joined the Peace Corps, and coached volleyball on the beautiful island, Jamaica, before moving to Houston.  I have been teaching for 41 years, and actually retired in 2013 after teaching 30 years with Aldine ISD. I am passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment for my students that will produce a global lifelong learner. In addition to teaching, I’m also a backyard farmer who loves to read and spend time with my family, especially with my 7 grandchildren. One of my personal goals is to travel to all seven continents, and all 50 states in America.
