Hi All! Welcome to 7^th grade English/ Language Arts.

This is my second year working at First Colony Middle School. I am excited about getting to know each of my students this year. My main goal is to be as effective as possible in your lives when it comes to learning in the areas of English/ Language Arts. I want you to be excited about coming to class every day. I will facilitate lessons that will engage higher-level thinking and collaborative learning.

I’m a high school graduate of Westside High School in Houston, TX. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Lamar University in 2008.

I am married to my lovely husband, Joe, and we have two sons, Jojo (11) and Luke (4). We’ve lived in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Iowa, and now we’re back home in Texas. In my free time, I enjoy playing outdoor sports with my kids, traveling, reading, and listening to podcasts and music.
