Dr. Felicia Bolden, Principal

I am excited to serve as principal of Lula Belle Goodman Elementary, and I have 23 years of experience in education. I attended the University of Southwest Louisiana and Walden University. I currently hold a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education with a computer literacy certificate, a master’s degree in administration, and a doctoral degree in teacher leadership. I have served as a 3rd, 4th, and 8th grade teacher, team leader, science specialist, technology specialist, and assistant principal at the intermediate level. I have always had a passion for education and working with students. My interests are blended learning, reading, research, student ownership of learning, small group instruction, and differentiated strategies. I truly believe a quality education is the key to success. I vow to work hand in hand with students, teachers, staff, parents, FBISD colleagues, and community stakeholders to support all students. I look forward to a great school year and serving for many more years to come.

Mr. Gilberto Elissetche, Assistant Principal

My name is Mr. Gilberto Elissetche and I am honored to be an Assistant Principal at LGE. I have over 20 years of experience in education. I am originally from the Rio Grande Valley and moved to Houston to attend the University of Houston where I received a bachelor of arts in political science.  I then attended the University of Saint Thomas where I received my certification in bilingual/ESL education.  I obtained my master’s degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake in educational administration.   I have had the privilege of being a bilingual teacher, math specialist, ESL/Bilingual specialist and an assistant principal in both high school and elementary levels.  For the last 10 years, I also teach English Reading and Writing to non-native English speakers at Houston Community College.  On a personal note, I have a passion for soccer, especially for our Houston Dynamo!  I also have an affinity for coffee and during my time off, I love to travel and learn about history and different cultures.

My purpose at Goodman Elementary is to help all students achieve their highest potential, to instill a love for learning and ensure that they are receiving a quality education. My mother, who was a bilingual teacher for over 20 years, helped to instill in me a passion for educating our youth and servant leadership, which I bring to my position.  I look forward each and every day to work with students, staff, parents and the community to provide an exceptional education experience for all our students.  Please feel to contact me if I can be of assistance.
