Welcome To Ms. Staley's 6th Grade Science Page:
The new school year is just a few days away, 6th Grade Science at the Fort is a fun adventure with a lot of great opportunities and of course, high expectations.
It is always a little exciting and sometimes stressful to start middle school, and your schedules and classes are going to be a lot different from your 5th grade experience, but we make it easy at the Fort with a strong start in Falcon Camp and our consistent practices in the Falcon Way.
6th Grade Science Units are focused around the FBISD 5E Model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate). Students will see these terms as we headline lessons, labs, projects, quizzes, and tests. We incorporate at least one type of hands on lab each week to fit the 40% rule that FBISD requires of all sciences.
Students and Parents will use my schoology course to stay updated on all activities. Links to each of my 6th AAC Science Courses are:
A digital safety contract will have to be signed by students and parents and submitted by August 14, 2024. That contract is within each schoology course in the parent information section and will be availabe starting Friday August 9, 2024. Please do not fill this out if you are not certain of your schedule, schedules can sometimes change.
