Our program produces bright leaders of tomorrow. In the past year, 3 of our students have earned full-ride scholarships for the next phase of their education. A full NROTC scholarship was awarded to Jack Lyons, Olivia Igwegbe, and Bryant Walsh allowing them to attend any college of their choice without the stress of funding their tuition. In joining our organization, students receive exposure to what they need to feed their curiosity; from not only having the chance to fly a plane, but also having a chance to engage with reputed individuals from several professions, from lawyers to nurses and even firefighters.

Bryant Walsh
Bryant Walsh joined the program in 2021 and quickly distinguished himself through outstanding leadership, discipline, and attention to detail. He consistently earned excellent grades and took on increasing responsibility, culminating in his role as the Unarmed Inspection Commander from 2022 to 2025. In this position, he demonstrated exceptional organizational skills, accountability, and the ability to inspire those around him. Bryant’s strong work ethic and dedication were evident both in and out of the classroom, making him a role model among his peers. He will be attending the University of Houston to major in Mechanical Engineering, where he is sure to continue excelling and making a positive impact.

Olivia Igwegbe
Since her freshman year, Cadet Olivia consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, discipline, and commitment to excellence in both academics and the program. Her hard work and determination stood out early on, setting her apart as a role model among her peers. In her senior year, she was promoted to Battalion Executive Officer, taking on a key leadership role in managing operations and supporting the unit’s success. She also served as the Unarmed Exhibition Commander, where her creativity, precision, and ability to lead by example were on full display. Although she was awarded a Navy scholarship, Olivia chose to pursue a different path and will be attending the University of Houston to major in Pre-Nursing. After college, she plans to join the United States Air Force, where her leadership and dedication will continue to thrive.

Jack Lyons
Jack Lyons joined the program as a freshman and quickly stood out for his initiative and leadership, earning the title of Gung-Ho Cadet his first year. Over the next four years, he continued to rise through the ranks, serving as Unarmed Regulation Commander in his junior year and Armed Regulation Commander in his senior year, roles that sharpened his discipline, command presence, and ability to lead under pressure. He was promoted to Sergeant Major in 2023–2024 and ultimately served as Commanding Officer in 2024–2025, where he led the unit with distinction and set a high standard for those who followed. Jack will continue his education at Texas A\&M University as part of the Corps of Cadets (whoop!), majoring in Biomedical Science, where his leadership and dedication will undoubtedly continue to shine.

Orisadahunsi Opeoluwa
Orisadahunsi Opeoluwa (Dara) joined our unit in her junior year of high school. She competed in various unarmed teams, including, unarmed exhibition, regulation, and inspection. She chose to apply for her NROTC full-ride scholarship, majoring in computer science, at The University of Oklahoma.

Haden Rider
Haden Rider joined our unit his freshman year of high school. He progressed to become the varsity armed exhibition commander his junior-senior year.
He chose to apply his NROTC full-ride scholarship at Texas A&M University. Following his college graduation, he plans to serve in the US Navy as a pilot.

Jason Li
Joining the unit his freshman year, Jason Li engaged with the drill teams and progressed to Cadet Sergeant Major his junior year- and Cadet Commanding Officer his senior year.
Jason Li chose to apply his NROTC full-ride scholarship at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, majoring in nuclear engineering. Following his graduation, he plans to work in national security/ research or development.

Matthew Williams
Matthew Williams joined our unit his freshman year of high school. He progressed to become the executive officer his senior year, and the varsity armed exhibition commander.
He earned the full-ride ROTC scholarship from the NAVY, which he chose to utilize at Texas A&M University, majoring in Ocean Engineering. Following his college graduation, he plans to serve in the US Navy as a pilot, before retiring to work as an ocean engineer in the development and design of naval vessels.

Nicholas Straub
Nicholas Straub joined our unit his freshman year of high school. He progressed to become the Alpha Company commander his junior-senior year, and the varsity armed regulation commander.
He chose to apply his NROTC full-ride scholarship at University of Texas Austin, to major in electrical and computer engineering. He plans to become an officer in the Navy and progress to grad school.

Rishita Bagga
Joining the unit her freshman year, Rishita Bagga was elected the Gung Ho, and progressed to Cadet Seargeant Major her sophomore and junior year- and Cadet Commanding Officer her senior year.
During her junior year, she earned an elite US NAVY summer flight scholarship. Bagga spent 8 weeks of the summer at the University of Delaware in Dover, Delaware earning her private pilot license. Only 20 students from across the nation were selected to attend! She successfully completed and graduated from the program before the start of her senior year.
Upon her return, she earned the full-ride ROTC scholarship from the NAVY, which she chose to utilize at Texas A&M University, majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Following her college graduation, she desires to serve as a pilot in the Navy.
