Hello Longhorns!

My name is Ms. Sandlin Oswalt. I am excited about spending another year on the 5th grade team at JNE!

I grew up in Saint Augustine, Florida. We lived on the Saint Johns River and grew up kayaking and fishing. My family and I went to the beach almost every weekend. I love spending time outdoors. In high school, my family moved to Dallas. Then, I went to Lubbock, TX to attend college at the amazing Texas Tech University. 

My favorite hobbies are spending time with my kids, reading, and running. I have a daughter and son who will both be attending Neill this year. I've run multiple half-marathons and other local races. I'll be running my first marathon this November. You might see me running around Harvest Green in the afternoons. When I'm not running, I love to read a good book. 

I've always been passionate about creating safe, encouraging spaces for students to grow and thrive! My hope is that each student will feel valued and supported in my classroom. Looking forward to watching our Longhorns grow this year!
