I graduated from the University of Houston-Victoria. As a student teacher at WSE, I fell in love with the school and staff and knew I wanted to work at this school.  Following graduation, I got a job at another elementary school, in the district, teaching first grade.  After my first year of teaching, I came back to WSE and taught Kindergarten.  The next year, I moved up to fifth grade where I stayed for nine years.  The 2017-2018 school year was my first year as a PE coach.  I loved it so much I continue to do it.  I believe by exposing students to a variety of developmentally appropriate and engaging activities while also tailoring to each child’s individual needs, students will develop a lifelong love for physical education. It is important to educate the whole child in which physical education will facilitate since research shows that physical exercise, which supports brain functions, will increase students’ learning.

I have a daughter, Karleigh who is in the 4th grade.   Any chance we get, we are always together and laughing constantly.  She is my world.
