Hello! I am Laura Brown, the WSE Music Teacher! This is is my n9th year teaching music at Walker Station and my 14th school year within Fort Bend ISD. 

I love teaching your children to sing, say, dance, and play in a way that helps them be TUNEful, BEATful, and ARTful. In music class, we sing, play instruments, create (compose) music, listen to different genres and music from various cultures, and participate in grade level performances. 

On the personal front, I am married to a mechanical engineer. I have a 7 year old daughter & a 5 year old son. I love my family very much! When I'm not interacting with children at school, I love to cook and bake, travel with my family, and attend music concerts and performances. I have a music education degree from Sam Houston State University where I studied voice (classical singing and opera). I am currently in graduate school for Music Education at the University of Houston - Go Coogs! 

I am so excited to start a new journey of music-making with your students this year!!
