Hello! My name is Lisa Whang and I am a first grade teacher at Walker Station Elementary. I am excited to build relationships with the students of WSE and be a part of this amazing community!

I was born and raised in California, in a small suburb of Los Angeles. I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with my bachelor of arts in liberal studies, and master of arts in education. In the summer of 2015, my husband and I relocated to the Houston area. This will be my 12th year in education, and my 10th year teaching first grade in FBISD.

I have two beautiful daughters and a mischievous dachshund named Sam. I love going on walks with my family, cooking new recipes, and going on runs by our neighborhood lake.

First grade is my absolute favorite grade to teach! I am passionate about literacy and hope to instill a love of reading in all my students. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year of learning and growing!
