Mrs. Diana Alcebo

Hello Walker Station Families and Academics!

My name is Diana Alcebo, and I’m thrilled to begin my second year teaching 5th grade here at Walker Station Elementary! This will be my 13th year in the classroom and my 14th year in education overall. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of teaching Pre-K, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, as well as serving as a Media Specialist. Each role has helped shape the passionate educator I am today.

I was born in Cuba and moved to the great state of Texas at the age of four. I’m a proud graduate of the University of Houston (Go Coogs!), where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in History and Gender Studies. My journey in education began as an After School Group Leader at Mark Twain Elementary and eventually led me into the classroom where my heart has always been. I’m honored to have been named Bilingual Teacher of the Year in 2017 and Teacher of the Year in 2024.

Outside of school, I spend my time with my wonderful husband, Alex, our sweet 9-year-old daughter (who’s also starting 4th grade at WSE!), and our sweet pup, Chiqui. I love dancing, reading, working out, bike riding, and traveling every chance I get. The beach is my happy place—I’m convinced I was a mermaid in another life!

I’m so excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to meet my new students and families. Here’s to an amazing school year filled with growth, discovery, and lots of fun!
