Welcome to the Middle School Art Department...

My name is Raymond Gills. I am the Art teacher for MR Wood Center for Learning.  I received my B.S. in American Jurisprudence and a minor in Art from the University of Houston. I also have a Masters in Biblical Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have sold many pieces of artwork and have shown artwork in many galleries. 

I enjoy teaching students about art and how it connects to our world.  It is my intention to provide a welcoming environment of individual attention and creative expression.  In my classroom, students are provided a framework to improve their art-making and communication skills while learning about art styles.    

Outside the classroom, I enjoy selling artwork and studying biblical languages.
