Welcome to the Art Department...

My name is Raymond Gills, and I am the Art teacher for Ferndell Henry Center for Learning.  I received my B.S. in American Jurisprudence and a minor in Art from the University of Houston. I also have a Master in Biblical Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor in Ministry from St. Luke Theological Seminary. I have sold many pieces of art work and have shown art work in many galleries. 

I enjoy teaching students about Art and its connections to our world.  It is my intention to provide a welcoming environment of individual attention and creative expression.  In my classroom, students are provided a framework to improve their art-making and communication skills while learning about famous artists.    

Outside the classroom, I enjoy selling art work and studying Biblical Languages.
