I’ve been the School Librarian at FCMS since 2012, and have worked as a professional librarian for the past 30 years. In 1990, I earned my Master's degree in Library Science from Simmons College in Boston, and in 2004 I received my Texas School Librarian Certificate.  In addition, I ‘m certified as a Chinese Language teacher, and I teach 8^th grade Chinese language on the weekends.  I began my career as a Children’s Librarian and Reference Librarian in the public library, and later worked as a School Librarian at an American International School in China.  I’ve also worked as an Elementary School Librarian in Memphis City Schools, Houston ISD, and Fort Bend ISD.  Luckily, both my children are former Bobcats, and I’m truly honored to work as the School Librarian at First Colony Middle School.  My hobbies include traveling, cooking, reading, and yoga.  I’m committed to providing high quality library services to the community, and will work hard to make your visit to the library enjoyable and successful.  I presently live in Sugarland with my husband.
