4th Grade ELA & Social Studies Teacher | Storyteller | History Enthusiast

Hi everyone! I’m Dr. Jodie Brivic, and I’m so excited to begin my 19th year of teaching—this time with you! I teach 4th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies, and I absolutely love helping students explore the worlds of literature and history through reading, writing, and meaningful conversations.

Originally from New York, I had the incredible opportunity to teach in New York City, Houston and abroad in Austria. I have proudly called Houston home for over a decade. I hold a film degree from Binghamton University, a graduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Queens College, and I completed my doctoral studies in Educational Leadership at Lamar University.

I’m happily married with four furbabies—three cats and one very large, very lovable puppy.

This year, I can’t wait to dive into new stories, explore historical adventures, and grow together as readers, writers, and thinkers. Let’s make it a great one!
