• The Travis Belles are William B. Travis High School's varsity dance team directed by Gina Tolar and Alyssa Williams. The team consists of freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors chosen by audition annually. The Belles perform half-time features during the football season, dance showcase in December, compete regionally and nationally at dance competitions during the months of January and February, and assemble a year’s worth of dance routines for the grand finale, Bellissimo, our spring show in April.  We are truly a year-round extracurricular activity. The Varsity Belles practice is a combination of morning and afternoon practices, allowing our students to be involved in activities like outside studio dance classes, other extracurricular activities, various clubs and afternoon tutorials.     The Travis JV Dance Team  consists of freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors chosen by audition annually. The JV Dance Team is a training team with a focus on increasing flexibility and technical skills. The JV Dance Team performs with the Varsity Belles at the Belle & Buddy football game in addition to a couple of JV games during the football season and basketball season, performs in the winter dance showcase in December, and performs in Bellissimo, our spring show in April.  We are a year-round extracurricular activity. The JV Belles practice once a week, allowing our students to be involved in activities like outside studio dance classes, other extracurricular activities, various clubs and afternoon tutorials. 

    Tryouts for the 2025-2026 Dance Team will be March 12th, with a clinic starting on March 9, 2026. If you missed trying out for the 2025-2026 Dance Team, please sign up for Dance 1 to prepare for tryouts this spring!
