Welcome Mathematicians!

I was born and raised in the Houston area and was lucky to have attended several Fort Bend ISD schools as part of my education. I did my undergraduate studies at Texas State University - San Marcos and majored in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. After graduation, I spent the first few years of my teaching career in Navasota, Texas. In 2013, I had the opportunity to move back to Houston and join the staff at Mission West. (The elementary school I attended as a student!) I have been a classroom teacher in grades K-3 and found my passion of teaching mathematics, especially helping students who need extra support. As the Math Interventionist at MWE, I have been able to work closely with grades K-5, providing interventions for students as well as coaching and modeling of strategies for teachers. I know all students can achieve at a high level if given the right support, and it is always a joy to be able to see the excitement and confidence at their success!

In my free time, I love to spend time with my husband and daughter, read, solve puzzles, and cook new and exciting dishes.

I am looking forward to this year and I hope to make lasting memories as we learn many new and exciting things!
