Greetings Mission West Families!

Hello, I am Betty Santos one of your Resource teachers. This is my fifth year at MWE. I have 20 years of teaching experience. Previously, I taught as a Math and Spanish teacher for 4 years in my home country Puerto Rico, when I moved to Texas, 16 years ago, I started my experience as a Special Education teacher in Austin ISD where I taught for 8 years. I also taught in the Pflugerville ISD for 4 years and now this is my fifth year in Fort Bend ISD. One of my passions is to teach students of all abilities. I truly believe that every student can learn if you provide them with the differentiation they need. As a teacher I provide services to students promoting their success and achievement. I do this with enthusiasm encouraging students to reach their greatest potential.

I graduated with honors from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico with a Masters Degree in Business Administration. I got my teaching certification a little bit later.

My husband and I share a daughther and a son, one whom is in 5th grade and the other who is in 3rd grade, both attending MWE. As a family we enjoy sports, art, music, movies and theater.

I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year.
