Jessica Nguyen is proud to serve as librarian at Kempner High School. She is a Texas State graduate with a B.S. in Family and Consumer Science. She graduated from Texas Women's University with a Master's in Library Science and Information Studies. Jessica started her career teaching Nutrition, Child Development, and Fashion Design, and then traveled to Japan to teach English for two years.  She taught at Kempner for 5 years and made the transition from the classroom to the library in 2012. 

In 2017, Mrs. Nguyen wrote a grant to the Fort Bend Education Foundation to transform our library into an equitable makerspace, and in 2018 our Kempner Library won the Founder's Grant for $20,000! The students voted to call the makerspace the Kempner Kreation Lab. We offer STEM activities, arts & crafts, and wellness/yoga opportunities to students as well as teachers and staff. 

Mrs. Nguyen is committed to the evolution of our library in order to best serve our students.
