Meet Ms. Lauren Jackson

Hello E.A. Jones Elementary families! My name is Lauren Jackson, and I am so excited to begin my first year as a 4th grade teacher here at EAJ! Although I’m new to this campus, this is actually my 9th year in education, and teaching truly is my passion.

I graduated from Lamar University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I am also the youngest of three siblings, and growing up in a big, supportive family helped shape the patient, nurturing educator I am today.

Over the years, I have had the joy of teaching Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade, and even 10th grade! This will be my first year teaching 4th grade, and I am thrilled for this new adventure. My favorite subject to teach is Reading, because I love watching students discover new worlds, new ideas, and confidence through books.

From a very early age, I knew I wanted to work with children. I was the kid who lined up stuffed animals to “teach” them, created pretend lesson plans, and always volunteered to help younger students. That same excitement and purpose still guides me today. I believe deeply in building strong relationships, creating joyful learning experiences, and helping every child feel seen, valued, and capable.

My goal is simple: to help your child thrive, succeed, and grow—academically, emotionally, and confidently. I will always do my best to support their learning and partner with you throughout the school year.
