Ms. Maria Hinojosa

I have a passion for Art, Music, and family. I received my Bachelor's degree in fine Arts from the University of Houston in 2000. I obtained my ESL Certification in 2005, and I completed my Masters in Educational leadership in 2013 from the University of Houston Victoria. I have taught Art at all levels K-12 in the span of my 21 year career. I taught at Jane Long Middle School in HISD for 5 years. I was the Art teacher, ESL Coordinator and Volley,Basketball, and Track Coach for Stafford Middle School and High School from 2005-2008. I have been here at E.A. Jones Elementary serving as Art teacher since 2008. I have a wonderful 17 year old son named Eloy that is a Senior in Stafford High School. My Hobbies include singing, dJing, Zumba, Jogging, painting, and reading great inspirational books. I love spending time with family and friends on the weekends. I love Jones Elementary it has become like a real family to me! I love my students and my greatest joy is to be in my art room making a huge mess with my students as we tackle through amazing art projects weekly!
