My name is Ebony Deyon and I was born in Galveston, TX. My mother and I moved to Houston when I was in grade four. That is when I realized teaching was the career path for me. My fourth-grade teacher opened my eyes to how some teachers could be, and I knew at an early age I wanted to be different than what I was exposed to. 

Fast-forward, I stuck with the dream of becoming an educator, and I received both my bachelor’s and Master’s in education from Stephen F. Austin State University (Axe em’ Jacks)! I am going into my 7^th year of teaching, and I vow to be: consistent with my students, committed/loyal to my students, passionate about my students; with these attributes I will be able to help mold our young minds.
