Briana Brown
My name is Briana Brown, and I am the Literacy Intervention Teacher here at Holley Elementary. I will be working with students and teachers in kindergarten through fifth grade on reading and writing. I graduated from Houston Baptist University with a bachelors of science in interdisciplinary studies. My husband and I have a new baby boy who is the light of our lives and keeps us very busy.I am excited to support our leaders in reading and writing through the Fountas and Pinnell LLI program this year. Observing each child’s success and growth in literacy inspires me every day. I believe all children can grow to love literacy; they just need the right tools, explicit teaching, practice and support to be successful at it. We all can achieve great things!

Belinda CavazosI am excited to be part of the Holley family ! As a Bilingual Literacy Intervention Teacher, I provide intensive literacy intervention in Spanish and/or English to identified small groups of students using “pull-out” and “push-in” models. I work collaboratively with teachers to deliver exemplary literacy instruction to all students. When working with the classroom teacher, provide training and support through academic coaching, co-teaching, lesson modeling, facilitating, etc. I also use data to help teachers identify and group students who need additional literacy supports.
