I am a native Houstonian born in 1974 to Mrs. Sharon and Mr. Clifton Payne in the historic 3rd Ward area. I have one son, Aiden Sterling, a Lamar H.S. graduate and U of Houston Cougar!

I graduated from Sharpstown H.S. and Houston Christian University in the SW Houston area. I have taught for more than 20 years, and I'm now in my 10th year in Fort Bend! I have taught all subjects, 2nd -5th grade including ESL/EB Learners, as well as Gifted/Talented. I'm a two-time Teacher of the Year and certified to instruct classroom management as a "Leader in Me" educator. I have volunteered my services to programs such as Kids and Cops; a program of self-development through quality choices and Compudopt; a non-profit whose mission is to ensure all learners have equal access to technology. It is my mission to positively affect the lives of children daily and inspire scholars to their greatness within.
