Hello, my name is Donna Martin, and I am excited to be the librarian at Edgar Glover Elementary again! I started working as a librarian with Fort Bend ISD in 2018. I do believe that I have the best job in the WHOLE school because it involves kids AND books! I look forward to supporting our students, families, staff, and communities, by supporting and encouraging all students to become life-long readers.

I am from a long line of educators and a native Houstonian. My career in education has ranged from an elementary and middle school teacher to working as an adjunct professor at a college. While working in the classroom, I discovered my passion for sharing a love of literature with children and decided to pursue my certificate in Library & Informational Sciences. I truly feel blessed in my job at Glover Elementary every day! I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Texas Southern University and furthered my education by receiving my Master's degree from Prarie View University.  

A few of my favorite pastimes are family gatherings, activities with friends, reading, and traveling.  I am passionate and committed to helping children be successful while making learning fun and meaningful in the process.

I am looking forward to another fantastic year with the Gloverians!
