Welcome to E. A. Jones Elementary. This is currently my 23rd year of teaching in the state of Texas. I have worked in the Early Childhood field for 30 years. I graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Arts and Science along with an Associate Degree in Business. This is my 9th year at E. A. Jones.

Teaching is my ministry, and it allows me the opportunity to engage in the lives of children by providing a strong academic foundation. My educational career gives me the opportunity to prepare students for a successful future.

I have the opportunity to support my readers with the Science of Reading. The Science of Reading includes phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Each component plays a crucial role in developing strong reading skills. I am excited , and I look forward to bringing the excitement to my students. We’re going to have a great year with reading and writing!!!

Reading is my passion and has been for many years. One of my teaching goals is to spread my love of reading and writing to each of my students. It is a pleasure and joy to serve the students at E. A. Jones Elementary.
