Hello!

 My name is Vernecia Anthony, and this year marks my 18th year in the field of education. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching grades 1–4, and it is with great joy and excitement that I serve as the ELA Instructional Coach at E.A. Jones Elementary. I am also deeply honored to have been recognized as Teacher of the Year four times.

In Fort Bend ISD, the role of the Instructional Coach is to promote literacy opportunities for students, teachers, and parents by emphasizing high-quality instruction built on effective, research-based strategies. My goal is for all students to become lifelong, successful readers and writers, especially our amazing Dragons at E.A. Jones!
