The LOMS Yearbook Club proudly produces The Equestrian Yearbook!

Being a member of the yearbook club is a unique opportunity that comes with great responsibility and high expectations. In order to succeed in this club, you will have to work well with others and be responsible for completing assigned tasks. You must be able to work under the pressure of a deadline. You cannot wait until the last minute and expect to produce quality work. Your success in our club will reflect your work ethic, attitude, and quality of work.

Yearbook club members have the opportunity to build themselves as leaders and share this leadership throughout Lake Olympia’s school community. Students will spend a great deal of time capturing the “student voice” at Lake O. Yearbook club members will interview students, take pictures, create captions, help with marketing and sales, manage social media campaigns and write articles for their assigned yearbook spreads. Yearbook Club members may need to spend time working on their spreads after school hours.

Our job in the yearbook club is to document the happenings of the year by creating a quality publication for our school body to enjoy for years to come. It’s hard work but the reward is worth it, seeing the finished yearbook arrive from the publisher at the end of the year. 

Each Yearbook Club applicant will be scored based on his or her written responses on the application and teacher recommendations. Although many applicants may demonstrate remarkable leadership traits, due to the limited number of spaces, not all students who apply will be selected for the Yearbook Club.

If you are a good photographer, writer, or leader or someone who is willing to learn these skills and attributes, this is the club for you!
