I was born in Temixco Morelos, Mexico and moved to Houston when I was seven years old.  

There was a noticeable contrast in the Houston and Alief schools I attended.  I had to work hard to fit in and catch up with my peers, but my dream wasn't to become a teacher.  I love science, holistic health, reading and volunteering in the heart of Houston.  My sons are the reason I applied for a scholarship to cross over to education.  This will be my 25^th year in public education with teaching experience ranging from PK-5th grade and PK-12 in Catechism (Bible study).  I am honored to be the SAILS teacher at Goodman and look forward to making many memories with my students.
