Curry M. Porter – Texas History Educator

I am a dedicated educator with four years of teaching experience in Fort Bend ISD, including one year in 6th Grade Social Studies and the past three years in 7th Grade Texas History. With a Bachelor’s degree in Media Communication, I bring a communicator’s heart and skillset into the classroom, where I strive to inspire, connect, and make history meaningful for the next generation of leaders.

Teaching is more than a profession to me—it is a calling. I take great pride in motivating students, fostering a culture of curiosity, and helping them recognize their own potential as future leaders. As a proud member of the Ronald Thornton Middle School Thundercat Family, I value collaboration, community, and the opportunity to positively impact every student I encounter.

Looking ahead, I am preparing to pursue a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, with aspirations of serving in school administration. My goal is to expand my influence beyond the classroom, continuing to advocate for students and support teachers in creating transformative educational experiences.
