• Students in PreK and Kindergarten can participate in the Rock Star Reader challenges.  These challenges involve meeting different literacy goals during the second, third and fourth grading periods.  Students who meet their goals will recieve certificates and a special treat!

    Students in First and Second grade can participate in the Texas 2x2 Step contest.  In this contest, students write their name and the name of a 2x2 book that they've read on a boot.  Boots are placed in the hallway for all to see.  The grade level with the most boots at the end of March will get a special prize.

    Students in Third, Fourth and Fifth grade can participate in the Texas Bluebonnet Program.  Students read books from the current Bluebonnet list and record their reading on cards.  The cards are posted in the hall for all to see.  The grade level who reads the most books from the list will get a special prize.  Students who read at least 5 books from the list are eligible to vote for the best book in Texas.
