I have been actively involved in education for over 20 years. During my carreeer I have taught Third and Fourth grade (all subjects). I currently serve as the librarian for Townewest Elementary School. I have a B.S. from University of Houston (Go Coogs!) in Interdisciplinary Studies. I earned a M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Baptist University. I completed my librarian certification through Texas A&M University-Commerce. I decided that I wanted to be a teacher when I was in Kindergarten and my teacher told the class that we could do anything we set our minds to. From that moment on, I practiced teaching by making my brother and sister play school with me. If my siblings wouldn’t play with me, then I lined up my stuffed animals and played school with them. I love to read and always have at least two or three books lying around that I am reading at the same time.
