Partner Spotlight
-

We’re shining the spotlight on an incredible partner – Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott LLP Attorneys at Law – who continues to make a meaningful impact on our FBISD community as a Fort Bend Education Foundation event donor and title sponsor! Their generous donation helped make this year’s Hollywood Nights Gala a success! The gala netted over $391,000, making it the second-highest netting gala in the Foundation's history! We are truly grateful for their partnership, generosity and belief in what we do. Here’s to many more years of making a difference together!
Grant In Action Spotlight
-

To provide an elevated P.E. experience for the most vulnerable and least mobile students, the district’s Adaptive P.E. team presented its FLaSH Fitness Winter Olympics. With individual teacher grants and a $19,975 FBEF Founder’s Grant, the team purchased adaptive curling sets and hockey equipment, ceremony supplies and decorations, a snow machine and equipment to modify activities (ramps, level, and PVC pipes) to create activity stations. They used 3D printers to make sensory station items (such as Olympic rings, snowboards, skis and ski boots). The overall event provided a unified learning experience for both FLaSH and General Education students by stimulating them in ways beyond typical patterns.
