Profesora Hinojosa
My name is Roxana Hinojosa, and I’m thrilled to begin my 7th year in Fort Bend ISD!
I was raised in both northern Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley, experiences that deeply shaped my love for language and culture. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Humanities with a focus on Latin American Studies from UT Pan American (now UT Rio Grande Valley) in 2000.
In 2003, I moved to the Houston area after being recruited by a local school district to teach Spanish—a journey that has been both rewarding and inspiring. Over the years, I’ve taught all levels of Spanish, including AP Spanish Language and Literature, and I’m passionate about helping students connect with the language in meaningful ways.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy traveling, listening to podcasts, and spending quality time with family and friends.
📚 This year, I’ll be teaching Spanish I & II, and I’m excited to make it a memorable and successful year for all of us.
Let’s make it a great year together!
