My name is Ana Rojas. I am from Colombia, moved to the U.S. more than 30 years ago because of my husband’s job, and made this country my second home. I have two beautiful daughters, both FBISD students. The oldest graduated from UT Austin five years ago and is working in Germany; my youngest graduated from UT Austin in 2022 and is working in Chicago. I have been working with FBISD since 2000. I worked at Kempner High School, Fort Settlement Middle school, and Dulles High School. This will be my fourth year at MCMS. I am very excited to start a new year at this great school and be part of this community.

I have a Bachelor's in Business Administration from UPTC University in Colombia, and a Master's in school counseling from the University of Houston. I have a teacher certification in Bilingual, ESL, Spanish, and Gifted and Talented education.

I love to teach Spanish, and hope to inspire my students to want and enjoy learning it. Speaking a second language and, for many, their third, will be a tool they can use in any career they choose in life, and also to see the world from a different perspective.
