Hello Tigers! I am beyond excited to be teaching English IV and OnRamps for a second year at William B. Travis High School! These courses represent the final ELA experience in a public K-12 setting. In our work together, we will explore the rich environments of reading, writing, and media literacy.

This year marks my 9th year in education as a high school ELA teacher. Prior to teaching at Travis, I taught in Lamar CISD and Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. I have taught English I-IV, including students at all levels of ability. Prior to teaching, I spent two years working in the nonprofit sector in scholarship administration.

I am a graduate of both Coastal Carolina University (CCU) and Lamar University (LU). My undergraduate degree is a BA in English from CCU. I also hold my M.Ed. in Educational Adminstration from Lamar University. 

Outside of teaching, I enjoy camping, traveling, spending time with my family, and a variety of other hobbies.
