I am excited to continue working with our wonderful Travis Tigers—this is my eighth year teaching here at Travis High School. I teach Science and Social Studies ALT courses, and it is an honor to support our students as they grow academically, socially, and in confidence.

Before moving into public education, I served as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of California, Irvine, where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and advanced to Ph.D. candidacy in the Social Sciences. After relocating to Houston from Kansas, I spent several years volunteering in FBISD while raising my three sons, all now proud FBISD graduates.

I believe that every student can learn and make meaningful progress when provided support, encouragement, and opportunities to shine. I am trained in Project Read and Reading by Design, and I use structured, consistent instructional methods that help students build independence and confidence.
