Hello! My name is Blake Campbell and I will be your sixth grader's English Language Arts teacher. I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and a minor in Education in 2018. I have been a teacher for six years already and this will be the start of my seventh. This is my first year teaching in Fort Bend and at Baines Middle School.

I’m excited to begin this journey with you and help your child grow as a confident, thoughtful, and enthusiastic reader.

Reading is the foundation of all learning, and in our class, we will explore a wide range of texts—from fiction and poetry to nonfiction and informational articles. My goal is to help students strengthen their reading comprehension, expand their vocabulary, and develop a lifelong love for reading.

We’ll be discussing books in depth, making connections to real life, and learning how to think critically about what we read. I believe every student is a reader, and I am committed to supporting their individual growth through engaging lessons and plenty of encouragement.
