Hello! I am so happy to be a Hunters Glen Owl as the EL Specialist! My job is to partner with parents of students who may speak languages other than English at home. As members of the Emergent Bilingual Program, I ensure that these students receive the necessary accommodations to access the curriculum the way native English speakers can.

I previously taught at Hunters Glen Elementary as a 1st grade self-contained/math and science teacher. Prior to Fort Bend ISD, I taught in Alief ISD and Aldine ISD. In addition to 1st grade, I taught 4th grade, 3rd grade and kindergarten. This is the 12th year of my career in education. I love instilling the growth mindset in my students by letting them know that it is okay to make a mistake. Mistakes help us learn. We just have to solve the problem another way!

I earned my Master of Education in Administration degree from Lamar University and my Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Woman's University. Go Pioneers! I have a wonderful family, including my husband and 2 dogs. What a blessing it is to serve the students of Hunters Glen Elementary!
