My name is A'Lechia Taylor and I am happy to be back at home (Fort Bend Independent School District)! I started my student teaching experience at Hunters Glen Elementary School under the leadership of Linda Ware. My very first year in education was a first grade teacher at Ridgemont Elementary School in F.B.I.S.D. under the leadership of Shirley Johnson. I grew up in F.B.I.S.D. and still reside in this district until present. I attended and graduated from the following Fort Bend Independent School District schools: Briargate Elementary School, Christa McAuliffe Junior High School and Willowridge High School.
I have been happily married for sixteen years and am a mother of two that are students in F.B.I.S.D. as well. I graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Interdisciplinary Studies in May, 2000. I went back and graduated again from Texas Southern University with my Master's Degree in Education Administration, Leadership and Supervision in May, 2010. I am currently attending Texas Southern University and pusuing my Doctorate Degree in Education Administration, Leadership and Supervision.
I come with seventeen years of experience in education which entails, but not limited to classroom teacher, reading specialist, instructional specialist, instructional coordinator, campus testing coordinator, teacher specialist, administrative/leadership team member. This 2016-2017 school year is my first year back in Fort Bend I.S.D. I am so excited to be back at Hunters Glen Elementary School as a Literacy Intervention Specialist/Coach!! My passion in education is to ensure ALL students are given an opportunity to learn at their optimal level of achievement. With that in mind, my philosophy that I stand behind is "Every Child Can and Will Learn; Whatever It Takes....Every Day, Every Child."
