Ms. Andrea Flucas
My name is Andrea Flucas and I am extremely excited to help our HGE Owls acheive their Reading goals! I have taught in Aldine ISD and Fort Bend ISD. I taught first, second, and third grade. I am orginally for Jacksonville, AR (a small military city outside of Little Rock, AR) and have resided in Houston, TX for many, many years :).
I have been happily married for sixteen years and am a mother of two that are students in F.B.I.S.D. as well. I graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Interdisciplinary Studies in May, 2000. I went back and graduated again from Texas Southern University with my Master's Degree in Education Administration, Leadership and Supervision in May, 2010. I am currently attending Texas Southern University and pusuing my Doctorate Degree in Education Administration, Leadership and Supervision.
I come with seventeen years of experience in education which entails, but not limited to classroom teacher, reading specialist, instructional specialist, instructional coordinator, campus testing coordinator, teacher specialist, administrative/leadership team member. This 2016-2017 school year is my first year back in Fort Bend I.S.D. I am so excited to be back at Hunters Glen Elementary School as a Literacy Intervention Specialist/Coach!! My passion in education is to ensure ALL students are given an opportunity to learn at their optimal level of achievement. With that in mind, my philosophy that I stand behind is "Every Child Can and Will Learn; Whatever It Takes....Every Day, Every Child."
