Hi, my name is Imani Shabazz.  I was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in New Orleans, LA. I attended schools in New Orleans, LA. in the Orleans Parish School System. After graduating from high school, I attended Southern University,  New Orleans campus. I transferred to Texas Southern University, Houston, TX.,  where I received my B. S. degree in Physical Education and a Master's in Health Education. I've been in the teaching profession over 30 years. I've taught in the Orleans Parish School System for 12 years. I relocated to Houston, and I've been employed with Fort Bend ISD since 2002.  I've worked at HBMS since 2004 as a Physical Education Teacher and Coach Girls 7A Volleyball and 7A Basketball.  I'm very passionate about the teaching profession. I enjoy working with the students as well as coaching the various sports. I look forward to seeing the smiles on my students' faces at the beginning of the school year as well as the end.  I also enjoy dancing, cooking, reading various types of novels and plenty of laughter, as well as enjoying my "ME TIME".
